Vadodara Arrival
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez landed in Vadodara early Monday morning, marking his first official visit to India. His flight touched down at Vadodara Airport around 1:30 AM. Following this visit, Sanchez is scheduled to travel to Mumbai on Tuesday before returning to Spain.

Roadshow with PM Modi
On Monday, Sanchez will join Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for an exciting roadshow, set to take place from the airport to the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) facility. The 2.5-kilometre roadshow will feature vibrant cultural performances, highlighting local traditions and talents along the route.

Inauguration of TASL Facility
A significant highlight of Sanchez’s visit will be the joint inauguration of the TASL complex. This facility is notable as India’s first private sector final assembly line for military aircraft, specifically for the C-295 aircraft. As per the agreement, 40 aircraft will be produced at the Vadodara facility, with Airbus supplying an additional 16 aircraft directly.

Strengthening Defence Manufacturing
The establishment of the TASL facility represents a crucial step forward in enhancing India’s defence manufacturing capabilities. The facility will encompass a comprehensive ecosystem for aircraft production, including manufacturing, assembly, testing, qualification, and lifecycle maintenance. In addition to TASL, major public sector units such as Bharat Electronics and Bharat Dynamics, along with various private micro, small, and medium enterprises, will collaborate on this project.

Bilateral Meeting at Laxmi Vilas Palace
Following the inauguration, Sanchez and Modi will head to the historic Laxmi Vilas Palace for a bilateral meeting organized by the Ministry of External Affairs. The leaders are expected to discuss various areas of cooperation between Spain and India over a lunch at the palace.

Departure for Spain
Sanchez is scheduled to depart for Spain around 12:30 AM on Wednesday, concluding his visit to India.
